Bob passed away while surrounded by his family at Brightshores Health System Owen Sound, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. Born on August 9, 1946, Robert “Bob” Joseph Morris of Owen Sound, was in his 80th year. Beloved husband of the late Sharon Morris (nee Lang). Proud father of Terrie Faulkner (Russell), and Scott Bayley. Cherished grandfather of Ellicia (Rick), Shawna (B.J.), Dustin (Amanda), and Chris. Treasured great-grandfather of Aurora, Everly, Damien, Natalia, Emma, Audria, Gauge, Hannah, and Grayson, and great-great-grandfather of Kylo. Dear brother of Beth Campbell (Bill), Percy (Gail), and Ralph (Doris), and brother-in-law of Bill Lang. Bob will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Predeceased by his parents John and Helen (nee Spence) Morris, his great-grandson Aiden, and his brothers Don, Edgar, Ordane and Ben and his sisters-in-law Carol Morris, Wilda Lang and Sue Morris.
Bob was a dedicated employee of RBW for many years. He found joy in his hobbies including fishing, hunting, golfing, curling, playing baseball and broomball, and carpentry. Bob especially loved his time inspiring younger generations by coaching baseball and hockey.
A memorial service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W. Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Reception will follow the service at the funeral home. For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed via the funeral home website.
