Entered into rest with family by his side at the Brockville General Hospital on Friday July 3rd, 2026. Douglas Bayne Monteith of Mallorytown, aged 83 years. Beloved husband of 54 years to Bonnie (MacDonald) Monteith. Loving father of Michael Monteith (Mariann) and Jennifer Birtch (Charlie) all of Mallorytown. Cherished grandfather of Tim, John, Michael (Jenna), Bailey (Rhyker), Alexandra, Charlotte (Ryan) and Clarke; and great grandfather of Parker and Penny. Dear son of the late David and Effie (Larocque) Monteith; and brother of Sandra Monteith and the late Carol Fairbairn. Also missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends are invited for visitation at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. E., Brockville on Friday July 10th, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The Funeral Service to Celebrate Doug’s Life will follow in the Chapel at 12:00 p.m. The Celebration will continue at the Mallorytown Legion from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. following the service. In memory of Doug, donations to Ontario SPCA Leeds & Grenville Animal Centre or the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.
