It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Joe McGuire — Brother, Father, Uncle, Papa, Great-Grandfather, and Friend (Joey).

While our hearts are filled with sadness, we also want to honour Joe by remembering the beautiful life he lived and the many people whose lives he touched. We invite you to come together with us to share stories, laughter, and memories of the special moments we all shared with him.

Joe was a well-known and much-loved part of the Uxbridge community, where he spent 80 years of his life. Throughout those years, he created countless memories, friendships, and connections that will remain with us and be cherished for generations to come.

Joe’s commitment to serving others extended well beyond his family. He spent many years at St. John’s Secure Custody Facility for Young Offenders, where he dedicated his career to supporting both the young people in his care and the staff he worked alongside. Through his years of service, Joe earned the respect of many and ultimately retired with the title of Manager of Human Resources. His dedication, compassion, and commitment to helping others were evident throughout his career and reflected the kind of man he was.

Joe also spent many years with Low & Low Funeral Home, where he worked as a Funeral Director Assistant. What began as a place of work became something much more meaningful to Joe. Over the years, the people he worked alongside became a second family. He formed lasting friendships and cherished connections that remained an important part of his life. Joe’s kindness, compassion, and genuine care for others made him a valued member of the Low & Low family, and the friendships and memories he created there will always be treasured.

Joe’s life was one of family, friendship, service, and community. He had a way of making people feel welcome, valued, and like they belonged. His stories, laughter, humour, kindness, and genuine love for people left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Although our hearts are heavy with his loss, we are grateful for the many years, memories, and moments we were blessed to share with him. His legacy will live on through his family, his friends, and the countless lives he touched throughout his 80 years in Uxbridge and beyond.

Your presence, your stories, and your memories would mean so much to our family. Please join us at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street S., Uxbridge (905-852-3073) on Sunday, August 16, 2026 from 1p.m. to 3p.m.

Come as you are, bring your stories and memories, and let’s remember Joe the way he would want — surrounded by the people who loved him.
