It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Jeffrey John Cross on May 18, 2026, at the Brockville General Hospital.
Jeff Cross was the beloved son of John and Donna Cross, and the loving brother of Matt (Andrea) and Cassie (Matt). He will be lovingly remembered by Tracie and by his children, Rachael and Hayden.
He will be deeply missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Hubert and Shirley Cross and Hubert and Helen Covell; his uncles Gary Allen, Larry Cross, and Dan Martin; his cousin Michael Turcotte; as well as several extended family members and dear friends.
An avid outdoorsman, Jeff found joy in hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature. Known for his infectious laugh and his talent for giving everyone a nickname with a story behind it, he brought humour and warmth wherever he went. He cherished his dog, Norton, and was endlessly entertained by his cat, Stella.
A private family funeral will be held at Barclay Funeral Home, 1033 Prince Street, Lansdowne.
A Celebration of Life will be held June 13th at the Gananoque Curling Club from 1pm-4pm, all are welcome and encouraged to join us and celebrate Jeff.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Gananoque Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
