Peacefully, on Thursday, July 17, 2026, at the Southlake Residential Care Village in Newmarket, at age 89. Wolfgang Plate formerly of Janetville, loved son of the late Elly and Fritz Plate. Dear brother of the late Klaus Plate, Heino Plate and Hilma Steiner. Wolfgang will be missed by his nieces, nephews, friends and family in Canada and Germany.
The family of Wolfgang Plate will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Tuesday, August 11th from 10 – 11 a.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel at 11 a.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made online to the Georgina Feral Cat Committee or the Edwards Animal Sanctuary.
