It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Darrell Ross Goyit in his 65th year at Stedman Community Hospice-Hankinson House on May 13, 2026.
Darrell was predeceased by his parents, Ross and Midge, and brother-in-law Phil. Darrell will be dearly missed by his loving wife, best friend, and soul mate Libbie and his furry companion Spike. He is survived by siblings Jodie (Dale) and Robbie (Joanna), mother-in-law Mary, brother-in-law Jon-Paul (Lisa), Derek, Kelly (Bruce), and Shannon (Glen). He is lovingly remembered as ‘Gangsta Gramps’ by Stephanie (Roddy) and Nadia, and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces.
The family extends deepest gratitude to Dr. McNeil and the kind and compassionate team of nurses, PSWs and volunteers at Stedman Hospice, as well as the PSWs who cared for Darrell in his home through Bayshore and Branches of Life.
A celebration of Darrell’s life will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2026 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Toll Funeral Home Charing Cross Reception Suites, at 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Stedman Community Hospice or Diabetes Canada.
