She of Stittsville, Ontario, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, with loved ones at her side. She died at the Ottawa Civic Hospital following a brief illness.
Joanne Lynn Poole is survived by her adoring family, including her husband Bob, daughters Tanya (Thomas) and Cindy (Marty), grandchildren Jessica (Adam) and Haden (Rachael), and great-granddaughter Callie. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Gerry (Anita), whom she idolized.
Joanne enjoyed many hobbies including golf, tennis, walking, gardening, reading, quilting and crocheting. She loved to play bridge, 500, euchre and cribbage with family and friends. Above all, her favourite thing to do was spend time with family, whether it be celebrating Christmas at home or enjoying summer at the cottage in Dunany, Quebec.
Her family will miss her positivity, her cooking and baking, and her Donald Duck impersonation.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, from 6-8 pm with Words of Remembrance at 7 pm, at Tubman Funeral Homes Garden Chapel, 3440 Richmond Road, (between Bayshore & Baseline Rd.), Nepean.
Burial to take place on Friday, May 29, at 1:30 pm at Arundel Public Cemetery, 91 Du Village St., Arundel, Quebec.
